Bay Area food enthusiasts will surely be taking advantage of dining out deals during the 7th Annual Dine About Town (DAT) this January.
You don't have to be a food connoisseur to enjoy this annual fine-dining event. Taking place January 15 - 31, the 7th Annual Dine About Town will allow food lovers to try out new restaurants around the city for a reasonable price. For a three-course, preset meal at participating restaurants, you will pay $21.95 for lunch and $31.95 for dinner.

Before you head out to dine and enjoy your DAT meal, make sure to follow the rules: You have to pay with a Visa card and you must tell the server that you're selecting the DAT deal when you arrive.

Whether you're a native San Franciscan, or a long-term visitor, you can check out the world-famous sea lions of Pier 39 this winter. Celebrating its 17th anniversary, the arrival of the sea lions at Pier 39's K-Dock is an event not to be missed.
Tourists and locals flock to Pier 39 each year to welcome the sea lions to their home for the winter months. The tradition started in 1990, when the creatures were first hauled out to the dock. At first, it seemed as though the sea lions would cause a problem for the boats docked in the area, but in the long run the sea lions won out, thanks to a little help from the Marine Mammal Center.
The official Sea Lion's Arrival event is a treat for children and adults alike, and one of the true gems of San Francisco's unique annual events. You can see hundreds of sea lions sleep, sing, and feast on herring - and, of course, there are many great photo ops!
